O God, fountain of love,

pour your love into our souls,

that we may love those whom you love

with the love you give us,

and think and speak about them

tenderly, meekly, lovingly;

and so loving our brothers and sisters for your sake,

we may grow in your love,

and live in love

and living in love may live in you;

for Jesus Christ’s sake.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

who comforts us in all our troubles,

so that we can comfort those in any trouble

with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

so also our comfort abounds through Christ.
