Bless us, your waiting people, O Lord,
for our focus is on you.
We thank you for the comfort you give us
in times of loss, grief and loneliness.
Through Christ, who is the resurrection and the life,
we meet each new day with courage and living hope,
which lifts our burdens at the saddest moments.
Your blessings, grace, love, comfort, and power
are enough for those suffering deep sorrows.
Lord, visit as a comforter all who are weighed down
by sorrow and loneliness.
Wipe every tear from their eyes.
