Christ healing the blind by El Greco via wikimedia commons
Heavenly Father of the Universe,
there are those among us who say that you are dead
because you no longer seem to care for us, O Lord.
Help those who cannot see you
to see your marvelous works in the lives of your children.
Help them to see your healing power and virtue
in once sick bodies.
Help them to see your splendid love
in the eyes of a once wayward sinner.
Help them to see your care for abandoned children
through the care of adoptive parents.
Help them to see the continued grace of your creation
through the kindness of your sunshine,
blessing the just and the unjust.
Open their eyes that they might see thee
and know that you are alive.
In the name of thy Son who died for mankind.
Amen.

My mouth will tell of your righteous deeds,
of your saving acts all day long—
though I know not how to relate them all.
I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord;
I will proclaim your righteous deeds, yours alone.
Since my youth, God, you have taught me,
and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.
Even when I am old and gray,
do not forsake me, my God,
till I declare your power to the next generation,
your mighty acts to all who are to come.
of your saving acts all day long—
though I know not how to relate them all.
I will come and proclaim your mighty acts, Sovereign Lord;
Your righteousness, God, reaches to the heavens,
you who have done great things.
Who is like you, God?
